During my stay in Sharjah, I frequently took cabs to explore the vibrant city of Dubai. Using cabs in the UAE is extremely convenient and surprisingly affordable. Whether you wave down an empty cab, ask hotel staff for assistance, or use the local Careem app, getting a taxi is a breeze. The Careem app is especially handy, allowing you to order a taxi from anywhere in Dubai with just a few taps on your phone. However, it’s important to note that taxis from Dubai cannot pick up passengers in Sharjah and vice versa.
Dubai is a city that epitomizes safety and modernity. One of the must-see attractions is the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. Adjacent to it is the famous Dubai Mall. For a spectacular view of the water show, I recommend heading to the area where the Wings of Mexico are located. From there, you can cross the bridge for a less crowded and more picturesque view.
